On the 1st of June 2005, only 45 years old Levas Bekeras, potter from Lithuania, died.

So terribly sad. About two years ago a brain tumour made him ill. Last year the “old” Levas seemed to be back, more or less. But finally he did not win his physical and mental fight against his illness.

We initiated two actions:

1. To compose a “book of friends” to remind Levas. People who have known Levas fill the book with photo’s, stories, thoughts, songs, dreams, drawings...

2. To produce a professional publication about his work. This will be a beautiful wooden box with (20-25) postcards of his work, a CV, introduction and some text about his work. Because the cards can be used as postcards, his work will still go around the world and people won’t forget.

What could you do?

  • buy one or more postcard boxes
  • help to sell the boxes
  • help to lower the cost of producing the boxes by giving a donation, bringing in sponsors or sponsoring yourself

When you wish to make a contrubution, mail to

We will contact you.
